Getting Involved

Bristol Rugby Mini & Junior Section is devoted to providing the opportunity for young children and youths to enjoy the wonderful sport and camaraderie that is associated with Rugby Union. If you are looking for a rugby club for your child to join or if you are a mini or junior who is perhaps already playing at school, but would like to play at a club, then look no further than here.

Come and join us either at Bishopston RFC grounds, Bonnington Walk, Lockleaze, Bristol BS7-9YU on Sunday mornings or contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Our Commitment

  • We operate our club under the rules of the RFU and adhere to their advice over training and playing matches. We will not over play or over-train our players.
  • We will provide quality coaching and facilities for the players and give them every opportunity to experience rugby, develop their skills and work as a team within their age group and the club.
  • We run sides at Under 7 through to Colts at Under 18/19.
  • Our Mini Section caters for boys and girls mixed sides up to age 12.
  • The Junior Section for U13?s to U19?s is boys only.
  • We operate in strict adherence to the Child Protection Act and all of our coaches, managers and assistants are registered under the scheme. We also have strict codes of conduct and behaviour and support the RFU fair play codes.

As a club we encourage touring and recent tours by our Junior sides include tours to South Africa, France, Italy and Ireland. Our Mini Section tours Cornwall each season during the Easter break playing against local Cornish sides such as Wadebridge, Truro and Penryn.

The club is always pleased to welcome new players, coaches or volunteers who wish to get involved and perhaps obtain their coaching qualifications.

To get involved or join the club contact the Membership Secretary, Chairman, Ian Martin information available on the contacts page of this site or, alternatively, download & complete the application form from the website.
